At the beginning of last year we were approached by clients with a project to create a private, elegant "speak easy" bar in the city center. Time was quite limited for the project - only 4 months. The customers wanted the interior to be in the spirit of Art Deco in a modern reading with lots of greenery and a cozy atmosphere.
The main element of the bar was a large U-shaped bar with a solid oak wooden countertop and a composition of stunning crystal chandeliers. It was an adaptation of early 20th century interiors to modern realities. High arched niches decorated with brass behind the bar give the bar individuality and severity.
One of the important elements of the interior was artificial greenery hanging from the ceiling and live plants in massive pots in the hall of the cafe. Since the ceilings were quite high, we decided to give the interior a more cozy and chamber-like atmosphere by making special wire nets and attaching compositions of artificial greenery to them. This helped to visually lower the ceiling, thus creating a cozy atmosphere.
