Smart engineering and bold color accents define this light filled space
This modern apartment interior design project was created for a young couple living in a contemporary residential complex. At the start of the project, we explored a wide range of planning scenarios, aiming to improve functionality and comfort without unnecessary structural changes.
Strategic upgrades included:
- Adding a walk-in closet to the bedroom.
- Relocating the bathroom entrance to incorporate a home office space.
- Slightly extending the living room area.

Thanks to a clear and detailed brief, the design process moved efficiently and without unexpected revisions. The main goal was to create a flexible, functional apartment that supports modern living: a home where two people can work comfortably from home while still enjoying a relaxing, well-organized environment.

Smart Layout: Zoning
The apartment is divided into two well-defined zones to support everyday routines:
- Public zone: entryway, utility block, open-plan kitchen–living room, and a dedicated study.
- Private zone: bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet.

A compact additional workspace is integrated into the bedroom — an essential, highly practical feature for clients who often work remotely. This dual-office approach optimizes the apartment for contemporary lifestyles, making it suitable for long-term working from home.

Engineering & High Ceilings
A full supply-and-exhaust ventilation system was implemented, with all equipment discreetly concealed above the ceiling in the utility area. The apartment benefits from unusually high ceilings (3.1 m), allowing the ventilation and ductwork to be integrated cleanly without affecting the minimalist aesthetic.

As a corner unit with eight large windows, the apartment receives generous natural light throughout the day — a key advantage emphasized in the design. The interior is intentionally minimalist and modern, free of unnecessary decoration.

Color & Material Accents
Color and material accents guide the visual identity of the space:
- Deep green in the study.
- Black in the entry area.
- Rich red in the bedroom.
- Warm wooden surfaces that add depth and a tactile, calming atmosphere to the living area.

The lighting plan is based on recessed track systems to maintain clean lines and a modern look. A single pendant above the dining table introduces an elegant focal point without disrupting the minimalist approach.

Conclusion: A Thoughtful Home
Despite its visual simplicity, this interior is highly functional and carefully considered. Every area supports comfort, working from home, and effortless everyday living — exactly as envisioned in the clients’ brief.
